This 4-step process will have you placing profitable wholesale orders in 1-2 weeks (or less).

1) Look at the brands you currently sell

Group them into 2 categories.

  • Large brands (think national brands like Proctor and Gamble, Nestle, etc.)
  • Small/medium brands (think niche brands that a normal person probably wouldn't recognize)

2) Ask your large brands for their distributors

  • Google their HQ, call them and ask for sales
  • Ask the sales rep to put you in touch with a distributor in your area
  • Follow up with the distributor until you land the account

3) Contact your small/medium brands

  • Find company owner/salesperson email/phone (use tools like Seamless.ai to get emails)
  • Send LinkedIn connection request + note (not required but greatly increases your chances)
  • Send them an email/call them asking to purchase their products for resale in your retail business

4) Put together a sample order

Brands and distributors are much more likely to take you seriously when you know EXACTLY what you want.

Put together a sample order including:

  • Exactly which products you want to buy
  • Quantity you want

They won’t hold you to this exact order so don’t worry.

The key is showing you’ve done your research and won’t waste their time if they can offer you these products at a reasonable price.
